Product Overview:
Vanadium powder is a silver-gray or light gray powder with a metallic luster, having a body-centered cubic lattice, a melting point of about 1820±10℃ to 1890±10℃, a boiling point of about 3000℃ to 3380℃, a density of about 5.87 to 5.96g/cm³, insoluble in water, soluble in nitric acid, aqua regia, and concentrated sulfuric acid, relatively stable in air at room temperature, stable below 250℃, shows significant oxidation above 300℃, becomes brittle when adsorbing hydrogen at 500℃, relatively stable in dilute sulfuric acid, dilute hydrochloric acid, and dilute phosphoric acid, and has corrosion resistance. Its mechanical properties are closely related to purity and production methods, and impurities can affect its plasticity, hardness, and other properties.
Vanadium powder is mainly used as a cladding material for fast neutron reactors, as an additive in the production of superconducting materials and special alloys, and can also be used to manufacture special steels, superhard materials, and hard alloys to enhance the strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance of alloys. It is also an indispensable material in atomic energy, rockets, aviation, space navigation, and the metallurgical industry.
Our spherical vanadium powder features high purity, good sphericity, no satellite particles, and very few hollow particles, making it suitable for 3D printing, hot isostatic pressing, laser cladding, and other processes.
