Product Overview:
Rhenium powder is gray to black in color, characterized by a high melting point (3180℃), high boiling point (5627℃), and high density (21.02g/cm³). It is insoluble in hydrochloric acid, soluble in concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, relatively stable in air at room temperature, begins to oxidize when heated to 300℃, reacts rapidly above 600℃, and powdered rhenium is easily combustible in air. It has high strength, good plasticity and ductility, and is easy to machine, but hot processing must be done in a hydrogen or vacuum environment.
Rhenium powder is mainly used to manufacture alloys, such as tungsten-rhenium, molybdenum-rhenium, and nickel-rhenium alloys, which can improve the high-temperature strength and plasticity of the alloys. It is widely used in aerospace, electronics, and other industrial sectors, and can also be used as a catalyst in the petroleum and automotive industries. Additionally, it has important applications in medical devices, high vacuum equipment, thermocouples, and other fields.
Our spherical rhenium powder has high purity, few satellite particles, very few hollow particles, and excellent flow properties, making it suitable for 3D printing, hot isostatic pressing, laser cladding, thermal/cold spraying, and other processes.
Available conventional powder particle sizes: 5-25μm, 15-53μm, 45-106μm, 53-150μm.
