Spherical rhenium powder

Rhenium powder ranges in color from gray to black and is characterized by a high melting point (3180°C), high boiling point (5627°C), and high density (21.02g/cm³). It is insoluble in hydrochloric acid but soluble in concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid. At room temperature, it is relatively stable in air, but it begins to oxidize when heated to 300°C, and reacts rapidly above 600°C. Powdered rhenium is easily combustible in air. It possesses very high strength, good plasticity, and ductility, making it easy to machine; however, hot processing must be conducted in a hydrogen or vacuum environment.

    Rhenium powder is mainly used to manufacture alloys, such as tungsten-rhenium, molybdenum-rhenium, and nickel-rhenium alloys, which can improve the high-temperature strength and plasticity of the alloys. It is widely used in aerospace, electronics, and other industrial sectors, and can also be used as a catalyst in the petroleum and automotive industries. Additionally, it has important applications in medical devices, high vacuum equipment, thermocouples, and other fields.
