Product Overview:
Zirconium powder is a light gray metallic powder with a density of 6.49g/cm³, a melting point of 1852±2℃, and is prone to forming an oxide film on its surface. It resembles steel, has corrosion resistance, and is insoluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and 50% sulfuric acid, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid and aqua regia. At high temperatures, it can react with various non-metals and metals; its chemical properties are active, and it can easily burn or even explode in the air. It often needs to be stored wet with at least 25% water to passivate. Zirconium powder has a wide range of applications.
Zirconium powder can be used in the atomic energy industry as a core structural material for reactors, as a deoxidizing and desulfurizing additive in metallurgy, as a degassing agent in the manufacture of electronic devices, and also in the production of refractory materials, ceramics, glass, etc., as well as in the chemical, pesticide, and dyeing industries to manufacture corrosion-resistant equipment.
Our spherical zirconium powder features high purity, few satellite particles, few hollow particles, and excellent flow properties, making it suitable for 3D printing, laser cladding, and other processes.
Available conventional powder particle sizes: 45-106μm, 53-150μm, 53-250μm.
